Prerequisites:
Enrollment as a PhD student on a project associated with nano- or quantum-optics research.

Content – Key areas:
This will provide the student with lectures and seminars on:

  • Photonics
  • Plasmonics
  • Emerging quantum technologies
  • Nano-optics
  • Materials for quantum applications
  • 2D materials
  • Electron-photon interaction

Learning outcomes:

Knowledge: The students will gain knowledge within the state of the art theoretical and experimental quantum and nano optics research.

Skills and Competences: The students will acquire skills and competences in advanced theoretical methods and experimental techniques in quantum and nano optics research.

Time of classes:
Spring semester, 4th and 5th of June 2024

Lessons:
2 days

Form of instruction:
Teaching is a blend of various learning activities, including lectures given by multiple different speakers, discussions of the lectures, poster presentations and laboratory visits.

Evaluation:
Attendance and active participation.
