Main content: -Sources of anthropogenic aerosol emissions: The student can identify the main sources and the types of aerosols that are emitted to atmosphere; the student knows the main processes forming the emitted aerosol particles and she/he understands how those are affected by source characteristics -The student knows most important standards that are used to limit and monitor the emissions of most significant aerosol emissions. Student knows basics about air quality standards and regulatory air quality monitoring. -The student knows the properties of particles emitted from anthropogenic sources, and she/he understands basics of their air quality impacts. She/he knows basics of effects of aerosol emissions on human health. -The student knows most important methods used in aerosol particle emission mitigation. Additional content - The student understands differences between particle number and particle mass based assessment of aerosol emissions and air quality - The student understands how the physical and chemical characteristics of emitted particles are linked with their formation processes. -The student understands basics of technological factors that can affect the aerosol emissions. -The student understands the principles of measurement methods used in emission and air quality monitoring Special content -Traffic emissions, ultrafine particles
