Digital Support and Tools for Research Writing and Publication

The course focuses primarily on the research writing process and secondarily on the product. Students develop the know-how and skills applicable to research writing for publication. The course acquaints students with technologies that facilitate the writing process, both web-based free and commercial tools, including those that aid idea generation and brainstorming, writing mechanics, looking up for language ideas and paraphrasing, internal paragraph- and full paper-level structure, quality assessment, phrase and term banks, manuals of style and AI-grounded research writing tools. Students get acquainted with at least 30 digital tools (e.g., Writefull, Trinka, ThesisWriter, etc.).
