<p>The course gives students a deeper understanding of physical and space geodesy theory and the related geodetic measurement techniques both on land and in space, such as gravity measurements, satellite laser ranging (SLR), very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) and altimetry, among other topics. The course will familiarize students with modern reference systems and show how geodetic techniques can be used to monitor movements on and of the Earth on different spatial and temporal scales. The focus of the course may vary between years.</p>
