<p>This course includes advanced analytical techniques to examine the material properties of wood and wood-based materials. Techniques can include e.g. numerical methods, DVS, FTIR, Raman microscopy, etc. Research topics can be related to e.g. wood physics and micromechanics, wood and water interaction or wood structure and property interaction. The materials investigated can be e.g. different wood species, wood-based composites or modified wood. The results are reported in compact form (e.g. a manuscript for peer-review journal).</p>
