<p>This course will provide a comprehensive exploration of microbial physiology, unraveling the role of cellular structures, mechanisms, and processes in sustaining life across diverse environmental conditions and influencing the performance of cells in biotechnological applications. Encoding of the cellular capabilities in the genome and how the genomes can change and evolve will be investigated. Quantitative aspects of microbial physiology will be delved into and evaluated in single-species populations and microbial communities through computational tools.</p>
