<p>1. Basics of plant design<br />2. Dimensioning the process and the most common equipment <br />3. Comparison of process alternatives<br />4. Process design: material and energy balance, block diagram, PFD<br />5. Use of design tools (drawing, simulation)</p><p>Continuation of Principles of Plant and Process Design (CHEM-E7127). Project work is done in same team of 5-6 students. The design project in part B is divided into two reports:<br />1. Background information (SoA), process comparison and selection<br />2. Mass balance, process flow diagram</p><p>The reports are presented in project meetings with industrial and university advisors that are organised by one member of the student group (project manager). The work is to be continued with the same student groups in Autumn periods I and II in Capstone Project for Plant Design.</p>
