<p>The course provides an overview of Earth observation missions and related monitoring applications. Basic radiometric concepts and access, preprocessing and interpretation methods of passive, optical remote sensing data are discussed. The course also introduces scientific writing skills, so that students are ready to write their master s thesis in the field of geoinformatics. Course assignments are related to processing satellite data and scientific writing.</p>
