<p>Developing a comprehensive understanding of organic structure and reactivity from first principles. Describing complex multi-step organic reactions using curved arrows and molecular orbitals. Using thermodynamic and kinetic arguments to justify chemical reactivity and selectivity. Advanced stereochemistry and conformational analysis of acyclic and cyclic systems.</p><p>After the course a student will have the theoretical tools needed to understand organic chemistry pertaining to e.g. natural product total synthesis, medicinal chemistry, polymer chemistry, biomass chemistry and supramolecular chemistry.</p>
